I was called a beauty today

I was called a beauty today,
As I walked down the streams.
The streams of insecurity and confusion.
As I walked its boarders slightly tipping over into its depth.

I was called an angel today,
As I contemplated whether or not to go on.
On this steep road
As I tottered over puddles and bumps

I was called a goddess today,
As I barely swam in the waters.
The sea creatures bellow grappled,
To get hold of my already bloody feet.

I was a called a treasure today,
As I crawled around my very own hell.
My knees scraped with fire and iron,

My tears the only cooling redemption in my existence.

As my world started to crumble to stones and rocks,
I was rebuilt by the kindness that lay in those words.

The words of someone so detached from my ordinary reality,

That showed me the sparkle I was in perspective of a stranger.
The possibility of such splendour inspired me to see the power that was truly me,
A power i refused to see.
